On screen display menu

The owners manual says you can display on screen menus either through the remote or the main unit. Do you know how to display through the main unit? I cannot get the menus to display through the remote and want to change my speaker settings. Thank You

Re: On screen display menu

I scratched my head over this for an hour. The manual says you can access the OSD from the unit, but I see no way to do this. From the remote, you have to select the "AMP" setting at the top of the input list. Then hit the OSD button. Assuming your monitor is set up correctly, this will bring up the On Screen Display. Then hit the "Menu" button also on the remote, and you can make your adjustments. Good luck!

Re: On screen display menu

Thank you ROZZY-VA for your help. The problem solved! I did not have it hooked up properly to my Television set. I was expecting to see the display on the unit itself. I kept reading the online Manual provided through Marantz websight and carefuuly followed the instructions to abtain on screen diplay. Thank you again for your help. ercble

Fast facts on DSR 4410MD

From Main Menu, arrow over to Diags and Select. First screen should display MENUS. Arrow over to it, press Select and change from whatever is displayed "Fact n" or "Diag x" to "Off", then press Select. This should turn it off.

I've run into a few that won't remember this setting and will default back to Fast Facts in approximately 2 minutes. Rebooting the receiver makes no difference. I have a call into Arris Tech Support about this and will report back if they have a solution.

UPDATE: According to Arris (aka Motorola), you'll need to get this DSR-4410MD authorized for an encrypted service (e.g., Fox, Discovery, Scripps, Disney) and the Provider can send down a remote command to turn off that function. According to Arris, there's no way for the end-user to do this. Of course if you're using this receiver's digital outputs (e.g., ASI or GbE), these Fast Facts won't appear on the video stream. These Fast Facts are strictly available thru the analog video or CVBS port.

Remote keep saying remote 2 and nothing is not working

Sounds like someone may have set the main unit to remote code 2. You will have to set the remote to code 2 as well in order for it to work. Don't know the exact procedure, but should be in the owners manual

Display panel does not light; sound is ok

It may not need repair. if you have it hooked up to a TV, by video, s-video, or component. Press the menu button on the remote and you can see the main menu of the unit on the TV. Navigate the menu up/down/left/right/enter until you get to "display". You should be able to turn the display of the receiver on/off. If you don't have the manual. That's the PDF from Yamaha. I haven't used this particular unit, but that's the way it's done on all the other series. ie. RX-V or RX-Z. Hope this helps

NO GUI displayed

I had a similar problem with my Denon 3808 after it had the protection circuit tripped. First all I would get is a blue screen with sound, then after powering the unit off I got the display back, but all of the on screen GUI menus were gone. I could tell that the menu button worked because display located physically on the recever worked. I reset/rebooted the system (follow the directions in manual) and everything came back. Be aware by resetting the system any customization you have done will be lost. Hope that helps

If you have checked thru the owners manual and could not find anything helpful for getting the OSD working again, you may want to try this reset procedure at the end of this post and then try to get the OSD working again. The owners manual should give instructions on how to activate the OSD.

This reset procedure will clear all the setting you have made, so make sure you know how to put those settings back in again before doing this.

If you do see the video from what ever video device you have connected to the unit (DVD player ect. ) but you don't see the OSD when you enter into any setup menu, then this reset procedure may help fix that problem.

If you are not seeing any video from the video device connected to the unit, then you may just have the wrong setting for the output from the video out to the TV. These Denon's are very complicated receivers (which you must know, since you own this receiver), and an improper setting can be causing the problems you have.

Befor eyou do this, go thru the settings menu and look for a OSD setting and see if it is turned off. If so, turn it on. If you can not find anything for the OSD try using the set up on the display of the Denon instead of the remote.

Here is the reset procedure:

With the unit turned off, hold down these two buttons at the same time:

Pure direct + Direct

while holding those buttons down, then press the power button to turn on the unit. Keep holding those buttons down for at least 3 seconds after turing the unit on and the display should flash at about 1 second intervals. then you can let off the two buttons and the unit is reset back to the same settings as when it was new. You now will need to put all of your custom settings back in to the way you need them.

OSD for NAD T752

The blue screen indicates a proper connection (signal received by the monitor). Try selecting "amp" on your HTR 2 remote then use any directional button at the center of the remote, the keys which circle the "Enter" button. Hopefully you will then see the menu appear. Use the same directional keys to navigate the menus.

The System Set up Menu does not display to my monitor.

Hi there,

The Denon AVR-2801 receiver outputs the "on-screen" menu and interface with priority to the S-VIDEO output of the unit.

If you have any S-VIDEO cables plugged in, you will need to navigate to the appropriate S-VIDEO input on your television/monitor to be able to see the on-screen menus.

If you need additional help, please feel free to leave a message here and here is a link to the manual that explains the menu and on-screen functions in more depth. Especially see the "notes" section on page 14. I have had several of these Denon amps and the only input I could get the "on-screen" menu was the S-VIDEO MONITOR input.

Good luck!
