Copier too dark

Xerox XC 1044,1045. Both copiers printing too dark. Have to go all the way to toner saver mode to get acceptable copies. Both have gradually darkened over time. Have replaced drums and toner cartridges numerous times over that period, and they don't make it lighter. Probably an adjustment (VR?) someplace that could change darkness, but don't know where it is?? (Have cleaned optics numerous times too, so that isn't it)

Also, I know about lightening copies by inputting codes, and have already gone to the max light setting there too. It helped, but didn't solve the problem

Did you clean the lens and the mirror under the lens cover? If so, There is a VR behind the front cover of most small Xerox machines. One VR makes the image darker/lighter and one VR changes the lead edge registration.

The fuser error light is on and my Xerox XC 1040 copier will not work. There is no error codes displayed

The drum light can be reset via the control panel. Especially if your copies were good before the light came on. The drum unit is the cartridge that is located right next to the toner cartridge. Reset the light using the following reset procedure:
To reset the drum light on just about any Xerox XC or XD series copier press the following key's in sequence and as quickly as possible (with 4 seconds for the first 4 keys)
Press "C" then the far left key (exposure mode) then the "C" key then the far left again.
So in other words C, far left, C, far left
If done correctly the display should go blank.
Then key in 24 as if you were going to make 24 copies.
Now press the "print" button
Now key in 7 as if you were making 7 copies
Now press the print button again.
You should now be getting flashing zero's on the display.
Turn the machine off then on again and your drum light should be gone!
You can usually reset this counter at least once to get twice the life out of your drum unit.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Xerox XC and XD series copier H3 or H4 error code reset procedure

To reset the H3 or H4 condition on just about any Xerox XC or XD series copier press the following key's in sequence and as quickly as possible (with 4 seconds for the first 4 keys)
Press "C" then the far left key (exposure mode) then the "C" key then the far left again.
So in other words C, far left, C, far left
If done correctly the display should go blank.
Now key in 14 as if you were going to make 14 copies.
Now press the print button.
The machine should reset and the code should be gone.
9 times out of 10 this is a false code that pops up due to power surges or noise.
If the code comes back this means you have a heater lamp or thermal fuse (more common) failure in the fusing area and will need service.
This procedure will work on all Xerox XD and XC models.

In my ir3300 xerox in very light

That means that you have to clean copy glass , lenses, ccd,...maybe even laser unit if you know how.
On digital machines dirty optics means light copy, on analog oposite, dirty optics dark copies.

Just one more question how do you mean " charge toner"?

My printer shows ayellow light - toner save-and prints faint

You have change the toner save mode first, in the printing window you have a properties options in that you change the mode of printing, if you turn off the toner saver mode in the properties option you can print the documents in normal, dark printing formats. Thank you.

Xc 830 problems

why not take the developer and drum units out of the skew copy one and put them in the other? At least that will tell you if dev/drum/toner is the problem.......
Skew copies on the other...look for torn corners of paper tight in the end of feed chutes etc, sometimes clearing a jam will leave a bit in there enough to slow down that side of the feed.If you can see any rollers make sure they are closed and parallel to each other and clean...

Can you help us with a copier problem

That sounds like your toner is empty. Sometimes that cartridge runs out or low on ink and just doesn't display.
What is happening is the density sensor is looking for a nice black patch and the patch it is looking for is gray or almost blank and it stays in a constant cycle of trying to make that ink patch dark enough to produce a copy,
I would try a new toner.
