Question about Lexmark X1150 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Color does not print

The Lexmark printer worked fine up until a few days ago. The color will not print at all even though the indicator shows there is almost 1/2 the amount of color toner. I took out the cartridge and replaced it very carefully. No change Thank you.

Clean the electrical contacts between cartridge and printer.

Failure of Printer to Print Color

Try using a new HP ink cartridge. I had the same problem with a printer I purchased off of CraigsList even though the ink level was good. I installed a new color HP ink cartridge and it printed without a problem.

This information is intended for those of you that are getting support from the expert community, for your printer. There are a few things you may wish to consider, prior to posting a request for assistance.

A. It's absolutely vital that you use the correct model number and maker's name for your request. Without that, no expert will be able to access their extensive information pool of techniques.

B. Speak just to the current issue. A reference to how long it's been working, is fine, yet presents little valuable information to an expert seeking to refine their response.

C. There are four major areas that represent nearly 99% of all printer issues. They are:
1. Ink issues. This usually happens when the cartridges are changed. It's vital to do a clean and calibrate, just after installing new cartridges. Try that first, and then a test page.
2. Paper jam issues. Visually inspect the inside of your printer, and focus on little slices of paper(comes from those papers with perforations).
3. Communications errors. Check all the cables for secure connection(they do come out sometimes, for no reason). Also, make sure that you have the most current drivers from the makers website.
4. Actual Print output issues. These are across the board, and without all the first 3 issues resolved, would simply add to your potential problem.

New Cartridges - not all color ink printing!

It sounds that the ink inside the cartridge has partly dried up.

This can happen to my printer when I don't use it for a couple of months too.

Use only original ink cartriges, the non original has ink normaly is not for you printer, and you wast your money and damage the printer print-head

I just installed a Lexmark 2500. It came with an ink cartridge (color) I purchased a black cartridge and installed it but it does not seem to be working. How do you darken the ink on this printer. It seems...

control panel
printer and fax
right click your printer, choose properties
go tab by tab and look for print quality and then try
something like this
choose econo mode, or ink saving mode to start.

try to print in grayscale mode and use only the black ink cartridge.

that should be your new default, and you don~t have to change it from winthin other programs

did you make sure that you pulled all of the tape off the bottom of the cartridge. next recheck your settings. they will not return to normal themselfs

Lexmark E250dn laser printer

Reinstall the drivers and see if it works.

Otherwise unplug the printer from the power and leave it without power for 10 minutes. Than plug it back in and let me know if it helped.

Lexmark X75 no color

even though you have ink coming out of the cartridge, if it's more than a few months since it's pumped any ink, it can be clogged internally, blotting with paper doesnt always work. Try a new cartridge, or buy a new printer, it's usually cheaper now to get a whole new printer than it is to replace a set of cartridges. consider it's a few years old now
