Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies
It sounds like the plastic encoder strip that the system uses to count or figure out where it is located came loose from one or both ends. It is a long plastic strip that goes the whole length of the ink carriage's track and is held into place by a small hook on each end. When you re-attach it be very careful not to damage it or scratch it. Once it is re-attached the printer will be able to figure out where it's carriage is located and won't hang up. It should work fine afterwards.
