Open Question

Playmobil rc train engine won't run

Not sure if it is the battery (4220) the charger (4396) or the engine itself (4021). What I would like to find is someone who can repair this.

replaced rechargable battery with new battery case that requires 4 "AA" batteries. Check playmobil website, think it was $8 not incl. shipping.

Train won't move. The sounds work great, and it used to move, but now it doesn't.

the sound runs from a different battery source, you'll need to remove the screw on the fron t of the seat and then lift the seat up and charge the battery with the supplied charger

Does the playmobil fire engine model 4821 make a noise or is it just flashing lights? If I brought the remote control model 4320 would this make the fire engine noises?

According to the details on their website, the 4821 only features flashing lights, no sound effects. The RC 4320 doesn't look like it has buttons for sound effects either, only controls for driving.

Playmobil RC Train set 4018 - have replaced all batteries but the charger wont work. It won't power the train - remote working fine. Don't know what else to do.

Clean the terminals in the remote and at the end of the battery, also inside the battery compartments that holds the battery in the charger and the the train itself. i hadn't used ours for 10 years and hadn't realised that we had left the battery in the train and the 9v battery in the handset. Tried charging it and nothing, but once i had cleaned all terminals of the green residue that had built up, it charged fine and the train ran for 45 mins before needing a recharge.

My Brio RC train Express model, does not work, changed batteries, tried both channels A@B, and cannot find solution, please help

Hi, Im actually looking for instructions for this train online? cant find any?
But.... I think your problem may be down to the fact that the train itself has 2 separate battery compartments! one in the front carriage holding 2 x aa batteries [which powers the wheels and headlamp] and one in the rear carriage which holds 4 x LR44 button cells [to power the rc link and sound effects] not obvious.
What I want to know is what are the little black and red buttons for?
