2002 JEEP [Wrangler] CD player will not play Nero burnt CD's

Radio works, CD player will play only CD's purchased at the store. CD player indicates ERROR when NERO CD's I made are inserted.

I have tried; [a] New high end media CD [not cheap ones], [b] blow out CD drawer with compressed air,-[Dust Remover], [c] used a Phillips laser cleaner system on CD with brushs, [d] Recorded NERO program [audio CD] at slowest possible burn speed.

Am at wits end here folks... I welcome a technical appraoch I may have overlooked.

Same here on my 2002 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. The cd's I burned play fine in every car we have and our home cd player. It gives me an Err message and spits it back out almost immediately.

I had the same problem in my 1998 Jeep GC Limited. It has been a year and a half since I have played a burnt cd in my cd player. I researched everything possible and came to the conclusion that it was either the type of cd I was using (some cds with prints etc are hard for the laser inside the player to read) or the burning speed, and after many failed attempts, I still couldn't find a combination that would work. Then yesterday, my brother had a burnt cd he had made with his computer and we tried it just to see if it might work and it did! So, the brand of cd is Memorex, the type is CD-R, and they are 80min. worth of recording time. I purchased some of these cds at Hastings (although I'm sure they are avaliable wherever you purchase blank cds) and tried burning one in my laptop just to make sure it was going to work and it did! I burned the cd using windows media player and before I started the burn I went into 'burn options' and set the burning speed to the lowest possible. Hope this helps!

I was having this problem with my 08 Wrangler Sahara Unlimited CD player spitting out burnt discs with the disc error message. Then I went and got some FujiFilm 80 min/700mb CD-R DATA discs and used Acoustica to make a MP3 cd using the "wizard" in Acoustica. Now it may just be me, but it seems what was different this time in comparison to my previous attempts at getting the cd player to read the cd was the fact that i used DATA CD-Rs and not music CD-Rs. I burned at slowest speed I could as well (x16 selected). One side note: these discs dont have the blue layer on bottom, I don't know if this is relevant:D

SIDE NOTE to solution#2, In Acoustica MP3 CD Wizard, I selected Standard (most common settings) to clarify this step I took.

I have a honda crv and the radio no play cd say error all time

Is it a at home burned CD if so the CD player does not have the program capability for that format. If it is a CD you purchased and it still says error your CD player may need work of replaced. Could try a laser cleaner from any audio store.

Factory cd player doesn't play aftermarket burned cd's

What format are you burning them in? CDA or MP3 most Factory units will only play CDA format, just pick you up a copy of Nero and choose Aduio CD, it will convert you MP3 format to CDA and you should be able to playthem with no issue, the CDA format also works in the old portable CD players as well...

Hope this Helps,
David

2002 Suzuki XL7 CD player Err6 CD will not eject

Sounds like you may have been playing a copied or burnt CD, not an original. The radio/CD unit will have to be removed and taken to the audio dealer/agent for repairs.

Cd player

remove ash tray one screw behind there, then remove top dash panel that goes from end to end across dash this just snaps off pull upward to remove you will see 2 screws on top of trim around radio remove these 2 and then dash trim will pull off pull straight back then radio can be removed should be held in by 2 10mm bolts, this should cover 80% of the radios (important TIP) if it still doesn't come out the trick is some of the wranglers have an extra security bar on stock cd players only you will see 2 more 10mm bolt on the top of the dash where you removed the 2 screws from earlier these hold a bracket that is mounted to the back of the cd player once they are unbolted you can remove the radio it takes some pulling and tweaking of the brackets but it will come out
