What is the board manufacturer and model number?

If KM266 is the model number, the only one I could find is by Albatron. If that's your board, you will need to replace the board, processor and memory. That board uses a socket 462 processor and they are obsolete.

Hi, you can do what i always recommend to my customers, install a new industry standard architecture (ISA) motherboard kit which will include a motherboard, processor, memory bundle. This future proofs you pc for at least five years, enables you to upgrade memory and processors on a plug 'n' play basis. fitting a kit is dead easy, with full instructions and what's more you will not lose any data on your hard drive either. Seems like your graphic card is not supported. Its a older version. My first solution would be update your driver for your graphics card: http://driver.wareseeker.com/download/visiontek-radeon-9250-agp-8.072.rar/1e97d07a01 or http://www.soft32.com/Download/Free/VISIONTEK_RADEON_9250_AGP/4-172246-1.html

If that doesn't fix it (which I don't think it will), you might just have to buy yourself a better graphics card and/or computer.

VEDIO DRIVER WITH SPPORTING TOOLS

Hello. ATi has the drivers you need.

I will post a link for the drivers for Windows XP Pro.

If you have a different version of windows:
click "Download Graphics Drivers" on the side
select which version of windows you have
select "Radeon" and then "Radeon 9200 Series"

Your Windows version can be found by pressing and holding the windows logo key + pressing pause

I installed windows 7 os and my mother board drivers not support that os.help me.my mother board is asus p5rd1-vm. pentium 4 processor 512 ram

Come back on XP or Vista but XP works better. There is no driver for W7 yet.Motherboards manufacturers will provide drivers for W7 when Microsoft will announce that the system(W7) is ready to be sell....Windows 7 is still beta! If Microsoft still provide "UP DATE" for XP why you want to install other OS?

Can i run ati radeon x1650 512 on asus k8N motherboard

Yes you can run the AGP version of the Radeon 1650 pro on your system. It is always best & recommended to upgrade memory in pairs. You could upgrade to `gb by purchasing a 1 gb kit which would be 512 x 2. That way you have a matching pair of RAM modules. As for a cpu upgrade you can go to the Asus website and see what cpu's are supported by your motherboard. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

Unable to play the PC game Crysis

AlanChong20, update you're video casr software. The radeon 9200 last update is listed at this link.
http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp/radeon-prer300-xp.html
The date for the upgrade is Nov. 15, 2006 No more driver update are being made.
If you're game still gives you the same error try lowering the game graphics detail settings. If set to high, bring them down to medium. It very possible you're card does not have enough memory to play the game. The 9200 is a older card. It may be time to upgrade.

Upgrade ram and maybe processor!

Hey, da,

I would double the RAM first with the same kind, then watch both PC and wife :), what happens. If they both smile, go for the processor but don't jump too high on the MoBo. Check the range on the board for highest speed clock before you buy a processor.

You shouldn't have to reinstall your OS, but back up your important files just in case.

Good luck Dan.

Video Editing Do I need to upgrade?

Get a new system... Sorry if this isn't what you want to here but RD-ram is stupidly expensive. 512mb of RD-ram is usually a few hundred dollars and hard to find. Since you have RD-ram that means you also have a Pentium 4 processor, probably in the range of 1.2 -1.8 Ghz

Vegas is a great video editing program but it needs way more than speed that that to render a video (in a decent amount of time. it will render on a slower processor, it will just take forever!). You will be much happier of the results if you just replace the computer rather than try to upgrade it.
