Your computer is going to sleep, its under the energy saver settings in display on control panel. Change this if you don't want it to enter sleep mode.

First check to make sure your drivers are up to date and the card is seated properly. Then If your graphics card is still under warranty take it back and get a new one. For some reason it is cutting out the signal to the monitor.

There are a whole lot of possible things here. It could be that the laptop is overheating, due to dust in the cooling system. It could be that a component in the video system is failing, and will get worse. It could be memory is failing, or the processor...

Things to test. If you laptop has lights for keyboard caps lock or num-lock, do those change when you change them? If not, then the system is hung, and it's not a video thing.

When starting computer screen immediately starts flashing colors. Nothing else. Then stops. And glitches randomly.

Turn off your pc and connect another monitor. If the external monitor works fine then the screen cable is damaged or your laptop's LCD needs replacement.

Will not turn on,

Hi,

Try these.

- Remove battery, press power button for at least 20 seconds. Power on the system using the AC adapter (charger).
- Use another working AC adapter if still no power.
- Make sure that the DC input jack where the AC adapter is inserted to the laptop is not broken, otherwise, replace motherboard.
- If you get power but blank screen, connect an external monitor. If you get display on the external monitor, the LCD needs to be replaced.
- If you get no display on the external monitor, reinsert the memory module/s (RAM), otherwise, the motherboard needs to be replaced.

Hope this helps.

No video display

hold f8 when you first turn computer on and try to get vga mode when the menu options appear. If you never see anything on screen when you turn it on now. The video card needs to be reseated and make sure you haven't changed any inputs on the monitor itself. Also check monitor cables for loose connections. I suspect video res set too high for monitor but you'll have to process and eliminate to determine that here.

No response when i turn xps on.

the monitor may have been toggled off.... usually this is a function key and another key at the same time. examine the keys for one that looks like a monitor unless you have the manual... it will tell you there how to change it.

Laptop monitor goes black

If you're working on the computer when that happens, it's not probably a power setting. Try to update your BIOS to the most current version at the toshiba support website (support.toshiba.com) & see what happens. Fixes the issue most of the time

I hope this helps.

Random black screen

If your laptop is still under warranty I would highly consider having your manufacturor replace either the motherboard or monitor.

That's saying that it is indeed a random thing. Although you could also try disabling hibernation or system standby. Also try turning off power management in the bios if possible.
