Clicker garage door keypad works inconsistently

I have a clicker, wireless keypad; 1 year old; new battery.

i also have a liftmaster garage opener; 12 years old; just replaced the gears.

the keypad (and all the remotes) have worked great until recently, they are working inconsistently. i reprogrammed all the remotes and still running into the same problem.

is there a relationship between the remotes and the gear problem?

any recommendations a fix?

My best advise to you is get the brand name remote for your opener. I know it sounds like a pain but click brands are not super great because there supposed to work for many different kinda. For the most part you can call your local garage door dealer and pick one up for your opener. They may sell you a lift master brand opener which is find sears/liftmaster/chamberlain are all the same. Should only be about 35 bucks if you pick it up
