Manual says while dog is playing music thru the cable and lights are flashing.... to press down the tail and while holding down tail to press the nose, but on my dog it only works like 1 out of 30 tries. Supposed to see spinning lights if you did it right. If dog growls at you it is not in the right mode (music play) to do this function.

I think I am quite confused for what I want. So maybe you can help. I am non-professional player of Yamaha PSR 730 with no music knowledge I Play by ear/hearing only. What I Play: Mostly remix old songs...

You sound like you have a good grasp of what you would like to do. There are lots of videos on Youtube of people using some of the gear you mentioned. Also check each manufacturers site for forums on the gear you would like to use. The forums usually consist of members who are all friendly and have good advice and solutions for any problems you may have. Remember that even the most experienced musicians started somewhere and are all still learning and are very willing to share what they know. You might consider using a laptop with an external hard drive. I think the Akai gear is very good and has good support and expandibility. Decide first what main pieces of equipment you would like and contact as many dealers as possible to get the best price. You may be pleasantly surprised and have enough of your budget left over for something you hadn't thought of yet. Good luck and enjoy your playing. Remember to study all your manuals carefully.

Motion Won't Turn Off

The trick to this is to catch the dog while just playing the music and not while dancing. What this means is that his foot must be down and not moving. Very often he will pause dancing with his foot up, however this is considered "mid-cycle" and he will ignore his stop command. When his foot is down waggle the tail towards his rear. This will produce all but one light turning red and a little beep to indicate him ready for a command. While holding the tail push the nose button for about a second, not long enough to turn him off but more than a quick tap. If his foot is down and music is playing he should respond.

Amp'd turns on but turns off after intro.

I had this problem too, I was going crazy and worried about it, your iDog AMP'D Just needs new batteries, to change it, unscrew the metal screws that are located under it's back legs, and replace the old batteries with three new AA ones. Make sure they are good batteries!

Hope this helped!
