Question about Canon PIXMA mini260 InkJet Photo Printer

1 Answer

It won't recognise my camera when plugged in.

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-T1 camera and a Canon Pixma mini 260. When I plug in the camera, the printer says the device is incompatible. I have already installed the cd software and I have gone through the cameras options to see if there is anything I can turn on to make the two communicate. Are these two devices compatible or am I missing something?

They still don't communicate when plugged into each other. I have tried every setting on both and there still seems to be a problem. When I pull the memory card out, plug it into the adapter, then into the printer, it works great.
    Thanks anyway,
    Edelis

Both of these units are PictBridge certified, so they should be able to communicate with each other. Be sure that your camera is set up to communicate using the PictBridge protocol. See this link, and view the PictBridge Printer Instruction Manual, page 2, to set the camera up.

Error code 6000 on canon pixima mini 260

6000 is a problem with the paper feed sensor on the platen roller inside. If something has fallen in that stops the rollers you get that error, a shop repair if you can't see anything inside.

My pixma mini 260 canon printer is giving me an error 600 signal.

Error code 6000 on PIXMA MP260 to solve this issue, lift the lid and rolled the wheel on the right hand side (plastic with black rubber drive belt) connected to stainless steel shaft. This wheel should be able to roll in both directions for 10 full turns with no obsruction. If the wheel stops there is something jamming the drive motor giving error 6000. or see a little paper piece may cause jam.
good luck, do rate if soved

The mini 260 printer do not print

rncoral,

go into the preferences of the printer, under the maintenance tab you will see head clean. clean the head and do a nozzle check. If you get nothing after two or three head claens, then the head is failing and will require replacing.
