Question about Sony Grand WEGA KDF-55XS955 55" Rear Projection HDTV
The LCD WEGA at the ARFF station that I work at started getting a small blue cloud on the left side of the screen. As time went on the cloud got bigger and tiny blue spots appeared all over the screen. I from American Samoa and I don't thank we have a repair man who is capable of repairing LCD and Plasma. If anyone has any suggestion please reply, thanks.
It might be just dust somewhere in the light path to the LCD panels or on them. The only other thing that comes to mind is the light engine itself and that is no easy task to replace. The part number for it is A-1084-666-A and can run close to 1000.00 for the part. Can you post a picture of the issue so I can look at it?

Sony isn't calling it a recall, but they are offering a no-cost fix
