Re: XBOX 360 SOMETING DOES NOT SWITCH OFF AND PRESS THE...
If your xbox 360 is one of the older ones or the first released xboxes then it could be the start of the 3rrod problem this type of error can occur when the motherboard starts warping and the solder joints are broken which can cause similar problems such as this. i would also try getting the very latest game you can and doing an update to see if this helps. you may also be able to download the update from www.xbox.com. burn the update to a dvd and then place the dvd inside your 360 and when asked if you want to update select yes and see if this helps.

Check the light on the power supply and if its orange that means that the console is on stand by mode, The light on the Power brick should be green when the console turns on. if the light turns red that means that the power supply needs to be replaced. call xbox support and check the warranty status of your 360
Three red lights means your 360 is dying. Hopefully it's still under warranty - and keep in mind that Microsoft extended the warranty for the 3 red light issue to 3 years, instead of just one. So if you bought it within the last 3 years, just call Xbox customer service at 1-800-4MY-XBOX. Be prepared to be on hold for a while. I believe you can also do this online. They will send you a box and packing instructions, and they even pay for the shipping. Once you send it, you should get it back in about 2 weeks (or more likely a new 360).
I suggest you to try DIY Guidethat wil explain solving the 2 red lights along with someother common problems of Xbox like Disc Read Error, No Video Problemand most famous RROD. Even a novice can solve the problem with the helpof step by step process given at the guide. I think it's worth trying. If you try this method, you won't have to wait for 3-4 weeks and youcan enjoy your gaming experience within 2 hours, once you try thisguide. ,
