I have the same problem. In cleaning out programs I think I mistakenly erased the sound driver, but not sure. I can't find the volume icon in the systems tray. how can I determine if I did delete the sound driver? if I did, then where can I download it? I'm running xp svc pack 3.

    thanks

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have windows media player 9. recently is has some problems regarding sound because by mistake i deleted from the control panel sound device on my laptop. sonow songs are not playing. PLEASE HELP

Try to find that same file online and available for download. Download it to EXACTLY where you deleted it from, and then It should work. Also, you probably shouldn't go through files such as that. You may cause a critical system error and irreparably damage your computer.
