Why do my images rub off the copy easily?

The paper being used could be too heavy. Use paper within specified range. The paper being used could also be damp. Replace any damp paper with dry copy paper. If the copier is not going to be used for a length of time, remove the paper from the paper tray and store it in its wrapper in a dry location.

You have a fuser related issuse, low heat, not enough presure or maybe you used the wrong toner!

check your fusing section there is a problo\em there...

It is a fuser problem. low heat to upper fuser roller. turn copier on and see if you can see the heat lamp come on. you might be able to see it light up if you cheat the front door switch with the front door open turn on the copier. the fuser assembly is where the paper exits. If that lights uo check the lower roller bushings and bearings. a worn bearing on the lower roller will cause improper pressure.

Hi Pheobe. Please tell me the manufacturer of your copier and the model. I am not a genius but after 20 years of servicing Canon, Ricoh, Xerox, Toshiba and Kodak copiers and all who wish to market the same devices with different trade dress I might be able to stumble into a helpful suggestion. I would be happy to try, and happier to succeed in helping you. The previous suggesstions provided by "dosdon" and "MOnica L" were absolutely right on. But there are the nasty 2nd and 3rd tier options that are still within the realm of things that can be worked out remotely.(the manner we are troubleshooting now).Let me know if if I might help. :-)

The fuser has a plastic part on each side to hold pressure on the rollers the break causing the toner to rub off.

i say try another fuser as this is what i did on my printer and it is all ok now

Poor, becouse my problem is different.
When I turn it on,it flickers on and off all the time.
