When I press the Camera option from the Main Menu, it goes to the video or camera, appears to be stuck adn then returns to the Main Menu. I cannot use my camera or my video recorder, but I can accept pictures and videos and play them from the My Stuff menu option and in text messages. What could the problem be?
The small circuit board that contains the camera and two gold pads for the ear phone contacts, has most likely gone bad. I opened my z525 phone and saw that the camera was only sealed to the printed circuit board on only one side, instead of all four sides. I opened the camera lens assembly under my binocular microscope and found that moisture (perhaps sweat) had gotten into the camera chip. Three of the gold wires that go from the CCD image chip to the circuit board had been eaten away by electrolysis, along with part of the copper circuit traces. The only way to repair this is replacement of the camera board. I am still looking for a board or an old broken z525 that I can salvage the camera to fix mine. -Mike

To make a video call to your friends and family. Use the built-in camera to share your moments or just show yourself. To be able to make a video call, both you and the recipient needs a 3G (UMTS) phone subscription, a SIM card that supports 3G, and to be within coverage of a 3G network.
Note: Regardless of what your phone supports, you can only see what the recipient's phone enables you to see.
You can make a video call from the main camera. The recipient sees the view from the main camera.
To make a video call by entering a phone number:
Tap the Number entry icon and enter a phone number.
Tap Options > Call > Video call.
To change view to the main camera, tapOptions > Use secondary camera.
To make a video call by using a contact:
Select Menu > Contacts.
Highlight the desired contact.
Tap Options > Call > Video.
To change the video call settings:
During an ongoing call, tap Options and set your desired settings.
Go to the main menu, enter the Organizer then go into the Video Call.
If it's using the front camera, press options -> switch camera and make sure the camera cover is open.
If the camera works here it is a problem with the Camera Application, but if your camera does not work I would recommended sending it to your local repair shop.

Well, the easiest way is to use the botom button on the right side (edge) of your phone.
The other way is to press the Main Menu button on the main screen. This is the middle icon at the bottom of the screen that has 4 dots then go to Media Center. Select Pictures & Video then Take Picture.
Point and press the camera button (bottom right edge)
To switch between Video and Pictures, press and hold down the camera button until either the camera icon or the video (movie camera) icon appears.
Once you take the picture, you have to select the second icon down on the right to save it to the phone.
Video call will only work if your service providers have enabled on both your and your friend's accounts, and your friend must also use a phone that supports video call, and both of you must be on 3G network (showing H next to signal bars). Video call must also be enabled on both phones, of course. When above criteria are met, video share menu will appear after your call is connected. Good luck!
