I have two iphone 3g that has been jailbroken and unlocked with yellowsn0w 0.9.5. Both works perfectly, accept that on one of them the microphone doesn't work.  When calling in/out, I can hear the other person, but he can't hear me.  I have tried to switch simcards, but it doesn't help.

I don't have service with AT&T for the iphone, but I do for another phone. It looks like the network recognizes the SIM card I put in the iPhone is not the one that came with it, and i can make calls in and out, but without microphone. I think it might be a security feature. Anyone know this?

The mic only works when the headphones are plugged in. It stops working immediately after removing the headphones from the jack. It's like it's working exactly the opposite of the way it's supposed to. I.e the mic is supposed to cut out when the headphones are inserted. The only way I can make a call and have the person hear me, is to listen through the headphones.

I'm having the same problem. I notice that underneath the phone, there are two speakers. One of those speakers is not working. I'm assuming that its the microphone side which is not working, and hence there is no sound coming from that speaker. Are there any solutions to this problem? Can someone send me a quick note on how to remedy this problem? Thanks. smoloo@gmail.com

Try resetting your phone, if this does not work then it is probably not an internal problem.

Most often this is from simply debris getting clogged in the microphone... seeing as the microphone is a miniscule hole, a small piece of debris can cause major problems.

To fix this:
1. Find the microphone, (it is the tiny dot next to where you plug in your earphones)
2. Get a needle and poke around in it, tip it upside down, and any lodged debris should fall out.
3. Test it out.

Tell me if this works or not.

Try updating the app, otherwise press and hold it, tap the "x" to uninstall, and then reinstall it. Also check whether your microphone is working or not, and also try using the hands free kit, and ensure there has not been any problem with the jack. Try other apps like soundhound to see if they solve your problem.

I have an iPhone4 and one phone number doesn't work. It used to work but now I get a mesage that the person isn't accepting calls at this time. It's a business. It IS the correct number. How do I fix...

are you sure that the number is actually reachable, try it on a landline phone first. If it isnt working on a landline then it is their line thats faulty ,not your phone. If it is working and only this number that you cant call, then maybe the person who you are calling has blocked your number?

You can't send a text message to multiple people on the iPhone, at least not using the stock messages.
If you're jailbroken, there are a couple apps you can use to send messages to multiple recipients.
1. RealSMS (paid) 2. iSms (free) 3. BiteSMS (free with adds, paid without).
Hope this helps!
