SD CARD IS DELETING DICTATION on PHILIPS 9750

The problem I have is that I start typing the dicatation - may have to go away to answer a call - then find that the SD card has deleted all the dictation. this has happened three times so far to me over the past few weeks. Not every day. I also have a colleague who this has happened to with no apparent reason.

The SD cards are Philips too - it does it with either the older cards and brand new ones so it cant be that.

Please help

I have the exact same problem and it is the original Philips SD card that came with the machine. I have to make sure when I start transcribing that I can finish with no interruptions. Otherwise, the dictation is gone!

    Very frustrating.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Loss of words during reording

I suggest that you allow little more silent time before pressing the pause or stop. also when you start regording again let it go for a second or two and then start talking.

you may also tap the mic pefore starting speaking, performers always tap the mic pefore starting to make sure its working.

SOURCE: Philips Pocket Memo 398 dictation machine - spindles not turning

Most likely cause here is a broken drive belt. This machine is at least ten years old. The belts for the latest model (381) will fit, but it's a tricky job to fit.

SD card does not read on my Philips 9750 transcription machine. SD card works fine on the computer. Help!

I can think of different format incompatibilities.
see Secure Digital Wikipedia the free encyclopedia

for example FAT16, FAT32 or others for higher capacity may not supported by 9750. Newer high capacity SD cards like SDHC/SDXC use EXFAT

Troubleshoot section does not specify the max SD card size or the format. So try with small capacity SD Card and format it on the 9750 to find what is the recording default.

Our Philips Desktop 9750 is not responding on entering card

The 9750 accepts up to a 1 gig card as long as the firmware is up to date. Latest firmware is available at dictation.philips.com.
Also, I have seen some 1 gig cards that are not formatted properly.
If you are indicating there is no power at all, check the power cord.

Just hit the download button to download. Then to upload, select the file or files in the software, and drag to the dpm at the lower left. The 9750 will need to be in the download mode by pushing download first.
