When your computer sais invalid system disk replace the disk, it can be one of the following: (1) Your computer isnt reading the hard drive, Make sure your hard drive is connected properly to the computer. (2) Your hard drive is defective and isnt working anymor. You must replace the hard drive. (3) There could be a disk in your drive, a cd in your cd rom or usb device in your usb slot. check your computer and if you find anything in these drives remove it, and restart your computer. I hope one of these solutions is helpful, Good Luck.

Try to goto BIOS (by pressing F2 or Del while booting) then in boot device priority menu u have to change 1st boot device as hard disk..
If then ur problem not solved then ur OS might be corrupted,so try to install a fresh copy of OS....

Check that you have no floppy disks in the drive and also no usb memory sticks/Hard drives plugged in as if they are and are not bootable you will get the error you describe

My ibm think pad 390x 2626 lou notebook has an ethernet installed but when i search for installed hardware it says no ethernet found but yet the jack is installed but not found

Well, Maybe your driver is not installed. With windows XP

1. Right click "my computer"

2. click properties

3. click hardware

4 click device manager.

see if there are any big yellow question marks, if so you need to load drivers.

I can not detach my IBM Think pad 2662 lap top from the driver

I had the same issue. Here's what I did. Not sure if it will work for you. But give it a try.
1) turn on the machine and press "F2" to go into set up.
2) Press alt-p seven times to go to the last page.
3)Press the down arrow to highlight HDD password. Set a password as instructed and reboot the machine.
4) You can remove this password later once your machine starts fine.

Even if you didn't get try this too.

1. Make bootable CD which contains Norton Ghost or other disk image software
2. Boot your system using bootable CD with Norton Ghost software, u can use Hiren's CD ISO image. If u don't know about hiren just google it.

2. Once you boot up , open Norton Ghost click LOCAL-> PARTITION->FROM IMAGE

3. Now "look in" for "[DellRestore]FAT drive" and select this drive (this is recovery partition)

4. Now go to "IMG" folder and select FI.GHO file

5. Click Open and there you go... Process started
