Question about GE 25951EE2 Phone

1 Answer

Handsets are "dead"

We actually have the 2591EE3 base unit with answering machine with handset and 2 additional handsets with charger bases. Easy installation and worked good from Christmas until early Feb. when the handset on the base unit seemed to die...couldn't talk to anyone on it or no dial tone to call anyone. We switched it with another handset. Couple of weeks later phone on base unit died...same as first one. Now only one handset is usable...afraid it will die, too. They have been used very little...just 2 adults who are gone most of the time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !

Are thee any Binatone handsets compatable as extra handset to add to Binatone symphony 3325 unable to get new handsets but main answering machine and handset are still working

with cordless phones the problem is that the hand sets have to be recognized by the base station ( paired) and unless you have the exact hand piece make and model this pairing and recognition will not happen
if you can get 2nd hand units for the 3325 base then the base will accept them ( any number of additions ) but if the hand piece is different it will not work
you you need extra hand pieces then it may be best to consider a new system where you can buy extra phones and chargers

Will the vtech interact with already an existing Uniden 5.8 ghz power max base unit and handset plus one additional handset and charger to give me four locations or just two more single handsets with...

Hi there, Your new phones will not interact with a base station from another brand of phones. If you want to use one base station, you can buy single phones of the same model and brand and those will interact with the original base station. Your new phones will not connect to the old base station Sorry, Alex

Uniden dect 1580. I have 2 bases and they are both identified as base #1. How do I change one of them to base 2?

I too have a Uniden Dect6 Model 1580-2 with two handsets. The system comes with 1 base (the larger one) and a phone charger (the smaller one with no buttons, just the charger cradle and a led that lights when phone is plugged in).

I was puzzled with your 2 bases affirmation and I checked with my set.
I took handset 1 and pressed the Menu button. I selected HANDSET SETUP. The first option under this heading is Select base, with two choices Auto and Base #1. I tried both choices and each time there was only a base #1, no base #2, thus confirming that in the set there was only one base.

If you have more than two bases, one handset can be registered to more than one base (actually 4 compatible bases). I suspect that you have to register each handset to each base. By doing so, each handset will know that it can connect to two bases and you will be able to select base#1 and base#2.

Have just bought a second hand BT mango telephone with 2 extra handsets. There doesn't appear to be anywhere to connect the phone wire to handsets 2 and 3. Only a socket for the power supply. Is this right?

There isnt a socket to connect the additional handsets because it is not needed. The handsets all use a single line by connecting to the base unit. You need to make sure the additional handsets are registered to the base unit.

For how to do this and anything else look in the manual which can be downloaded for free at

Panasonic Kx th112 sceen is dead answer light blinks red

Try swapping the AC adaptor from one of the handsets with the adaptor from the base unit. That fixed my problem.

You did record a message on the answerer, didn't you? Mine displayed that until I recorded the outgoing message for the answerer. You do not need any service from your phone provider. The answerer in the base unit simply records the caller's message when you don't answer after a set number of rings. The manual tells you how to name the handset, which is a nice feature if you don't wish to use "unit 1, unit 2, etc".

Uniden TRU8885-2 Cordless Phone > User Guide E X P A N D I N G Y O U R P H O N E w w w . u n i d e n . c o m Register the Handset to the Base If you purchase an extra handset, you need to register the handset to the base before use. Only one handset can be registered at a time. The handset ID for the supplied handset(s) was assigned at the factory, which has #1 or #2 in the display (#2 for models that have two handsets in packaging). When you register additional handset to the base, the handset ID will be assigned. 1) Before registering the extra handset, the battery pack must be charged for 15-20 hours. 2) Place the extra handset in the main base unit to begin registration. 3) While the handset is registering, Handset Registering will appear in the LCD. When Registration Complete is displayed, the handset has been registered to the base. If Registration Failed appears, please try these steps again. Extra Handset Extra Handset Charger Charger Main Base Extra Handset + Main Base Charge the handset for 15-20 hours. Place the extra handset in the main base to register. 1 2 3 4 ?An extra handset can be registered when the main base is in standby mode. ?Standby Mode - The handset is not in use and talk/flash has not been pressed.
