My N80 was having some problems lately. It would restart unexpectedly and would restart when I use the text service with my network provider, i.e. when used to check my account validity (eg. *123#) and so on. One day it shut down completely and never rebooted completely. When I switched it on, it powered up but never went beyond a white screen. I tried all the possible ways known to me, but I had no luck so far. Now it seems that it cannot be turned on at all. Losing my contacts and data are ok, but is there any possibility to turn it on. Or do I have to take it to the service center?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

White screen are symptoms for Contact retailer. try to call 112 (emergency call) if its working, meaning it's LCD problem. If 112 working try to clean the terminal of LCD. IF this doesn't work consider replacing it.
First of all Turn of your laptop.
Now this time when you turn on your laptop start tapping F8 Key on you keyboard when you Toshiba logo. Tap F8 key for at least 5-6 times.
You will get a Windows Advance Option Menu.
You will see lot of options over their written in white text. Your mouse will not work on this screen. Use UP and DOWN arrow keys on you keyboard and highlight Last known good configuration. Once highlighted press enter on it. See if you computer boots. If it boots try doing a restore.
If it doesn't boot.
Turn off your computer and then turn on your computer. On Toshiba Logo screen tap F8 key once again and go to windows advanced option menu screen once again and this time hightlight Disable automatic restart on system failure. Now when you see Blue screen coming up on your computer once again your computer won't restart. Now you can write down the information to trace out the blue screen that is occurring on your computer. Write down the Error code which will be in form of STOP 0x000000XX, you find this error code somewhere at the bottom of the blue screen.
Once you get the reply here, we will see what we can do.
Usually the messages are stored in databases with your service provider and it will come through according to date/time.
If you believe you are missing a few texts and you'd like to make sure that you dont then what you could simply do is send yourself a text from your mobile and it should bounce back, pushing forward all the texts that are still in the database.
It may seem costly, but it might be an urgent/unexpected text.
