If your wide screen panel went out completely and wont turn on it should be covered by the waranty that is what you have to pay extra for, call the store or source you bought it from and let them know asap.
seems you have a shut down circut or a defective screen issue. you have liquid type marks on the screen itself then theres a chance it is defective, so dont wait to long to get your exchange or a waranty repair..

good luck

Ted, You have to push the issue with Samsung, contact them and ask for a resolution specialist. If it was indeed still under warranty when you contacted them make them fix it, as it could get expensive. Check the attached links, Samsung support instruction and guides, Good luck

Sony liquid crystal tv, was watching show then heard loud pop and tv went black but looks on. No pic or sound. has power but cant control tv at all. Complete silence and black screen.

Fault to its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Son sprayed cleaner on tv.

I have not a clue what to tell you, but doubt the cleaner is the cause of this. In any case the TV is so old you will not be able to get parts.

I recently got this watch as a gift. I went to the store with the gift receipt to get watch sized. The jeweler removed a two links, and it fits perfectly. Last week i noticed that the watch fit a little...

The jeweler is responsible for anything he is selling, and has to make right. If he can not fix the problem, you have a right to a exchange. If he refuses to deal with this especially with warranty then it time to contact the manufacture at for customer support and ask for technical assistance. They will not be happy if a representative for the company leaves a black mark against them. One further thing if you have a phone number listed in the watch manual this may speed things up, good luck.

Sound stays on, but no picture- goes black and stays that way.

This unit should still be under warranty and should be taken in for warranty service. Any attempt to access the interior will void the warranty. It is important that a complete description of the problem like you entered here be taken along when you bring the set in for service. This will insure that the servicer be able to reproduce the problem and resolve it.

From your description (and as a servicer), I would be looking for a component that is heat sensitive. These types of problems are fairly easy to locate and resolve.

Please take this in for warranty service and update this when you find out the details.

I'm affraid that there is not much you can do to fix it.
The TV still under manufacturers warranty. Take it back to walmart to be repaired.

45" mitsubishi TV with gray/black "water stains" on screen

If the plastic screen has not been damaged by chemical properties in the liquids, the screen does not separate. Time will tell.

Liquid under screen

You need to take the screen off the front. You will find the screen comes away from the frame and seperates into two sheets. The liquid is seeping inbetween the two. If you clean it with Meths it should sort it without marking it.
