Have owned a iiyama 17" pro crt for a few years,

These were a fine monitor and with the kind of image quality you cannot get on TFT's.
If you know the graphics card you are using is working ok, have checked the VGA cable connection and socket at the monitor and computer and have tested the monitor on another computer, that would rule out any problems as far as connected devices are concerned.

The problem you describe, and it is unusual that it has happened so quickly, points to a failure of the monitor internal board. You may be able to get this repaired at a reasonable cost by seeking the opinion of a TV repairman, who might be able to fix it.

No signal. Power is on, cable functions well (tested on other computer). nevertheless, the screen does not work (any more) and shows signa " no signal" . What can have gone wrong with my screen...

The fact that you see the "No Signal" message indicates that the display is functioning properly. The problem is with the input section. Verify that you have the correct input selected. Other than that, the input board is the likely defective section. This is not uncommon and will require service. This is not likely to be a DIY repair if the input board is defective.

DEAD IIYAMA AS4636D

Hi Sammy7!!

I have such iiyama AS4636D monitor. In this day purchase.
I have such problem with you.
My solution:
Desktop pc and lcd power off (230VAC or 110VAC)
Power on lcd, after early desktop pc.
This moment, when running the pc booting, press and hold you the " + " button.
In this moment come in one blue screen. May be running on the sreen short message: check or select input mode: VGA DVI 1 2 . Select your correct cable connection type.

Have a nice day! and happy new year!

Out Of Range

Do the same procedure you do to enter "safe mode" but this time choose the "start in VGA mode" option, then change windows resolution.

PC monitor wont come on.

Check that the power cord is fully plugged in first.

It is probably the inverter board inside the monitor.
(if the screen does properly display ever then it is not the screen)
It CAN be fixed but I do not suggest anyone open up a monitor (LCD or CRT) who is not "technically inclined."

If you really want to fix this particular one then take it to a local tech and get an estimate first. If it's almost as much as a new monitor then buy a new one.

Iiyama prolite e483s. no sound

Get a cable two male ends. Look for the female end on your screen. Put one male end into the port on on your screen and the other end into the port "AUDIO ONE" on your computer.

Try this it should work. The Multi-PIN cable is only for VIDEO, you need another cable for AUDIO.

Problem with display

Some iiyama's have 2 inputs. One DVI and one analog. Also, some of the older ones used BNC connectors. What I'm getting at is make sure you have the right input selected in the monitor's menu. Hope this helps....JF
