Nakamichi AV2 Cannot get the rear speakers to come on. What buttons do I have to select on the front to get them going?? I know the speakers work as I put them in the A slots. Thanks!

I also cannot get sound through the rear speakers channel. I've tried adjusting the rear speaker volume. The speakers themselves are fine - they work through the front and center speak channels. Thanks for any help.

Blew my Nakamichi Car SPeakers

Take out the speakers and take an ohm meter and measure from both speaker connections on the speaker and see if there is an resistance or connections to the frame of the speakers. Next see how many ohms the original speakers where, and what these speakers are. If they are different, you may have blown the amp or the head unit. Good Luck

Speaker buttons don't function correctly

The Speaker A and Speaker B buttons select pairs of speakers. If you have connected a pair of speakers to the "SPEAKER A" terminals on the rear of your Onkyo receiver, you will hear stereo sound when the Speaker A button is pressed on the front panel. If, for some reason, you wanted to connect a second set of speakers in the same room or perhaps another room you would connect those speakers to the "SPEAKER B" terminals on the rear. Pressing both buttons on the front panel would send sound output to both sets of speakers

When I hook up the rear speakers to my in-wall speakers, I can't get any sound. I have speaker button 1 and 2 selected.

Hi:
you need to clear that you connect wall speakers for font, center or rear (surround) speakers?
Seem you connect for Front speaker.
Rear (surround) speaker will have "rear" mark on the back of your reveiver.
In general you need to select both buttons 1 & 2 then check your speaker wires connect into "output1" or "output 2" hint: each output will have 1 for left and 1 for right speaker. Each Left or right speaker will have 2 connection 1 red color (+) and 1 white color (-). Try to match these colors code for your speakers connection.

After the recent purchase and professional installation of a used Nakamichi CD 700, I noticed my front speakers weren't working. Activating the fader adjust I noticed that when I turned the knob...

I would recommend taking it back to the pro that installed it given it hasn't been to long. Also the deck should be warrantied and if the front side is not working I would consider that a faulty head unit. I know Nakamichi head units are not cheap.

Go back to the store you purchases it from or contact Nakamichi directly at the link below:

Replace rear speaker 2000 es300

You need to check to see if it is an external amp or an amp that is built in with the speakers. They may be 2ohm factory speakers on that stock system, if so you may need a rewire. take a look at the rears and see if you see a small amp. Its Lexus so hopefully it will be a straight forward swap. get back to me if needed.

The sound on the 2 front speakers and the sub woofer on my Sony STR-DE597 turned off and I can't figure out to turn them back on. I've lost my manuel. When I use the test tone on the remote, only the rear...

First, you can find your manual here:
http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=STRDE597

You may have accidentally pressed the speaker select button and disabled speaker A (main) and enabled Speaker B or disabled both A and B. Start with page 40 in the manual to select Speaker A.

On the remote, press the "Speakers" button (Off/A/B/A+B) repeatedly until you hear some noise.

No sound from subs and rear speakers...

Make sure the Ipod is plugged into the AV input source. Then you may have to go through the menu to select AV1 or AV2 input. This should take care of the problem. Good luck

Nakamichi AV-10 very little sound on the center speaker

could be the speaker, try connecting another speaker and cable and see if it improves. If the problem is still there and you've checked all the settings insuring that its not turned down, then could be an internal problem with the receiver.
Hope this helps a little at least.
