Tomtom go via 180 won't load

With the Tom Tom disconnected..... Try completely uninstalling the Tom Tom software, run something like CCleaner to clear out all OLD registry keys associated with the device clear all temp files then go to Start>RT Click on Computer>Manage>Device Manager find and uninstall the device there as well. Restart your meachine then reinstall with the device DISCONNECTED until you are advised to attach it.

Any map updates that you lose in this process should be recoverable by simply calling Tom Tom or just downloading them from their website.

GOOD LUCK!

on the home page you should see a search tab just type in what you are looking for

Windowsxp boot disc WinXp Setup Process

Restart you computer during the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the F2 or the Delete key
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS the navigate to advanced bios features using the arrows keys press enter change your first boot device to cd press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart
note this will erase you operating system you will have to have an operating system disk to load it onto you hard drive or create a partition to load another operating system
note after you have loaded the operating system you should go back and change the first boot device to your failsafe or optimized defaults otherwise it might keep booting from the cd
after windows has loaded
your computer will automatically restart it might restart 2 times one to finish the installation
the next will be because the operating system is loaded and will boot from your cd

My laptop has. Crash while I was downloading a program now when I try to restart,it comes with error to reboot, inset system disk, i. reinsert the disk that there, but same thing comes up. Also took disk...

The HDD password is a BIOS function. A password is set and passed to the HDD. Then the BIOS on power up sends the password to the HDD and unlocks it on each boot. It could be your HDD is dead and so when BIOS sends pwd to HDD there is no response.Try BIOS reset to defaults

How to install

To install Windows place the Windows disc in the cD drive and turn the pc on. If nothing happens try pressing F1 2 F8 or F12 as the pc is starting these may open the BIOS and allow you to change it to BOOT from CD.
Restart and allow Windows to install from CD automatically. this will also work for PUPPYLINUX if you are trying to install that instead o expensive Windows.

If you want to install a program, then simply open its CD and find the file SETUP.exe or AUTORUN.exe and double click on them this should start the install process.

No bootup 1-2min if windows opens very unstable or reboots contin

That sure does sound like a power supply issue, you should be able to take it to any local computer shop and have the power supply tested, if it's not the power supply I would look at the motherboard.

Computer restarts on shutdown

If your computer constantly restarts while you are using it, or if you are trying to shut down the computer after it has stopped unexpectedly, click to clear the Automatically restart check box. If you clear this check box, you receive an error message when the computer stops responding. This error message may describe the cause of the problem. You can also review the system log in Event Viewer to view the critical stop error that occurs when the computer restarts.

  1. Click the Start button, right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
  2. Under System Failure, view the Automatically restart check box. If the Automatically restart check box is selected, Windows automatically restarts if the computer stops unexpectedly.
Thanks & Regards
Nandu :)
