Problem deleting appointments from diary

Have blackberry curve smartphone 8310. Can add appointments but cannot delete them or change them. Go through delete process but still there and get message when try to open appointment: 'Appointment deleted externally. Changes will be lost and the viewer closed'

You need to hard reset the Blackberry to fix this, its a temp JVM error. Just pull out the battery while the device is on, leave out for 30 seconds and put it back in and wait for the device to restart.
