You may have to into the MSN Video and Audio Configuration utility and make it use the mic built into the webcam. It may be looking for audio input from another source, if this is the case, it won't work from the Cam itself.
Is your microphone integrated into your webcam? Make sure the correct device is selected. Go into Edit, Settings, Enhanced IM. Under Audio and Video, make sure the Microphone device selected is a functioning mic, such as Logitech Mic, or if using a headset, select the USB headset (if usb) or your sound card if using a mic plugged into your built in or add-on sound card.
Go to Control Panel and Click on Sounds, Click
on Audio, then Click on the Microphone. Then Click on the drop
down and select Camera Microphone.
Click OK and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
Microphones do not require software or drivers to operate.
First, double click on the volume icon located in the system tray. If you do not see the volume control for Mic, then you will need to make it show up by going to Options --> Properties --> Check the box labeled Microphone --> Click Ok. You should now be able to see the volume control for the Mic. Make sure that this is not muted and the sound is turned up.
Second, you must have a sound card installed in your computer that supports microphones. Please check with your cards manufacturer or PC manufacturer to make sure.
