Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Pioneer CT-w602r Dear Ramesh22, I saw your solution posted for the Pioneer CT-w602r on June of 2008 that had a jammed tape  and flashing counter lights. I tried to do as you suggested, and  I have removed the black cover and the front mechanism,  but still can't get at the flywheel. That could be because I don't know what it looks like.   Can you help further? Russell ucrfl@aol.com

Once you see the mechanism the flywheel is the largest 'dull' silver colered disc you can see. somtimes a cassette mechanism can be helped along by moving this disc with your index finger.

if it recovers, you have bought a little time but the belts must be replaced. You will need a pro to replace the belts or a really mechanically inclined friend.turntableneedles.com has over 450 belt sizes but they show no listing for your model as of yet. so you would have to provide belt length info to get the right belt sizes.

Pioneer ct-wm60r reads err, has new belts,

There are sensors in the unit that are false triggering and some mechanical parts that require alignment. It can take two or three hours to put it back right if you are not familiar with that transport.
This is why I tell people to stay away from changers and auto reverse units as sooner or later they will be a real problem for someone to fix.

CT-W103 play back is to fast

You may have some broken tape wrapped around the capstan. The capstan is the small silver post that rotates when the tape is playing. A rubber roller presses the tape against the capstan. This silver post needs to be just that - silver. If it has any brown tape or goop on it, clean off the tape or goop with a small knife. Then follow up with nail polish remover [acetone]. Don't use alcohol because that will harden the rubber roller over time.

Why one tape at deck A won"t come out. it stock inside unit

There are lots of causes to this. For example the mechanism has jammed. The tape has become entangled in the capstan or elsewhere. Plastic damage causing the mechanism to not move back to the eject position. Some decks have a powered eject that is faulty. Broken spring, or one that has fell off.

Pioneer CT-W208r won't eject tape.

These dual cassette decks were throw away units in most cases. The belt inside and the grease in the cam mechanism is in bad shape and the deck can not cycle through the steps it need to so as to reach stop. Only stop mode will allow the door block to release. The tape can safely be extracted by a Technician. The deck need work. Dual cassette decks are not always worn the repair cost.

My pioneer ct-f7171 cassette deck needs a little speed adjustment, where is the pot located?

Usually on the back of the servo motor. You need a speed alignment tape and frequency counter or wow and flutter meter to do this adjustment correctly. Often times the speeds go up as the motor start to fail.

CT-W602R Dual Cassette Deck- door won't open

Dear etu7diante,
The another way to release the cassette from the deck is by moving the flywheel manualy after opening the cover of the system. The system should be disconnected from the power supply. If you are able to to do this please let me know .later I can guide you to do the job.
