My acer aspire 6920's volume touchscreen control on the left hand side of my laptop has frozen, how do i unfreeze it so i can move it.

    Mine has been frozen almost since I got it and now it constantly displays in green "Volume" on the bottom of the screen, over anything else that is up.

    It's showing the green volume text in the bottomof my laptop's screen. I'm considering a re-format, however i'm afraid that may not do it. I think it's related to the buttons themselves.

    I put it on HOLD one night and after hibernating the left volume arc no longer works. Must use mouse to control on-screen volume. No green bars, though...that would drive me NUTS! Any ideas, yet?

    What steps have you taken thus far?  Have you restarted the computer?

PROBLEM SOLVED!!! - 6 simple steps

1- Shutdown laptop
2- Remover battery
3- Count to 20
4- Put Battery Back
5- Turn Laptop on

Aspire 5100 mouse is frozen how to fix problem
Try restarting your computer by pushing the windows button on the bottom of the keyboard on the left side, generally next to the ALT button. use your arrow keys to move over to the shut down button, select restart and restart your computer. Or you can shut down and then push the power button to start up your computer. This should help reset your laptop and unfreeze your mouse.

If this does not work, go to the control panel, again using the windows button and the arrow keys. select mouse, then go thru the tabs on the window to make sure that your mouse pad is selected to control your mouse.

I have aspire 6920 the audio control panel on the left side of the keyboard is frozen. Can you help?
Mine froze once too, all you have to do is take out the battery for a few minutes, it resets the hardware...it is not a software problem like many people think it is, it has worked for many people and my touch pad has worked fine since and it has been almost 10 months.

Problem with xternal volume control on my acer aspire 6920
Without any more info I would reboot your machine.  If you cannot reboot through normal process, hold power button until machine turns off (about 5 seconds), then turn back on.

ACER Aspire 6920 Touch Media console is frozen !!
I found this solution on another support blog, its works....

i had the same problem but the answer is so freaking stupid. k tried installing all the software again and again but no cure. Then I read on a forum that i just needed to get the battery out for several second and it worked!!

Summary:


shut pc down,

remove battery (and if plugged in the power cord)

Replace battery, boot it up and all should be fine.

if i does not respond then open launch manager
