Question about Apple iPod MA446LL/A MP3 Player

1 Answer

I own an Apple Ipod video which I bought in 2006. It worked just fine for about 9 months at which point I could not get any sound(music) from the headphones or when plugged in via the usb dock to my car player. I reset it several times but was unable to get it to play music. The song was "playing" according to the Ipod as in the bar was advancing, and you could hear white noise and the clicker, but you could not hear the song. I assumed that it was broken and hadn't used it until a week ago when I found it and discovered that it now was playing songs! When I plugged it into my computer earlier this evening to place some songs on it and then ejected it, I placed in my headphones and once again, no music. Just the clicker and white noise. It was formatted on a PC and I know use a MacBook? What should I do?

If all your music is in iTunes, format and restore the iPod to a Mac formatted iPod in iTunes. There are some firmware updates as well, which restoring will give you, and these should help. After doing so, iTunes will copy all your music back to the ipod.

Inorder to put music and video on your iPod you need todoenload the latest verson of iTunes from apple.com/iTunes/downloads. After installing it on your pc add music to the iTunes library and sync your iPod with the iTunes. Same thing for the video too. Hoe this should help.

How to transfer music/video from iPod to PC/iTunes 9

Anyone who has seen an iPod will understand the basic concept behind the design of the iPod touch: a 3.5-inch There are plenty of reasons why you want to transfer your music/video from iPod to iTunes or PC. For example, you may want to make backup your iPod music/video in case of hard drive crash, to retrieve iPod music/video when you accidentally deleted a song or video from your hard-drive, to share your music/video with your friend, to use your iPod with different or more than on computer, or to copy music/video to your new iPod.

Apple's iTunes really does work when it pulls iTunes purchased content off your iPod. The new iTunes 9 makes it easier to share music/video, movies, TV shows, and more. With Home Sharing, you can browse the iTunes libraries of up to five authorized computers in your house, import what you like, and automatically add new purchases made on any of the computers to your own library.

The iTunes 9 is nice for sharing the iTunes purchased content, but how to share the rest of your content of iPod with your friend, you'll need some additional software. There are a lot of programs that can transfer iPod content to iTunes 9 and PC. But from the point view of both functionality and simplicity, there is an iPod music/video Transfer which works well with all models of iPods including the latest iPod Touch 3G and iPod Nano 5G. Let's find it out.

The program is Wondershare iPod Transfer. By which, you can transfer usic/video between your iPod and PC freely, and you can transfer music/video to iTunes easily. First, connect your iPod to computer, and then you can do the following steps easily.

Transfer music/video from iPod to PC

Select one or more files in the file list, and click 'to-compter', then you can transfer iPhone music/video to your computer to share with your friends.

Copy music/video from PC to iPod directly

Select one or more files in the file list, and click 'to-ipod', then you can copy music/video from your PC to iPod directly without synchronizing iTunes.

Transfer music/video from iPod to iTunes 9

Just like copying music/video from iPhone to computer, you need to check video/audio files and then click 'to-itunes' The program will automatically open your iTunes after transferring is done.

This iPod Transfer works well on all models of iPods to transfer music and video from iPod to PC and iTunes.

No sound

First You'll want to reset the ipod by pressing both the menu and center buttons until you see an apple appears on the screen. If you still cannot hear music out of it at this point I would try to use different headphones to make sure its the ipod malfunctioning. If you still cannot hear music at this point, I would recommend connecting to itunes and doing a restore. Also make sure there is no lint or any thing funny in the head phone jack. If your problem still remains at this point I would call apple at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273)

Video Not Playing

Any clicking of a hard drive means physical damage. Have you ever dropped the Ipod? Is it still under the Apple care warranty? If your ipod has been dropped or received considerable shock, it's most likely effected the internal hard drive, especially to the point to where you can hear it?

go to

http://www.apple.com/support/

The back rear side of the ipod has a serial number. Enter it at the bottom of the page for the link provided. If the Ipod is still covered by the warranty and has NO signs of user fault, then I would take advantage of the warranty.

Hope this helps.
