My RCA Pearl TH1101 hangs after startup, with "please wait", after inserting a 4GB Micro SD card, This seems to be the same problem as the original poster.

NOWHERE in the owners manual, or on the official website does it mention the maximum size or type of Micro SD card.

Doesn't recognize the memory card - it is an sd 4 gig micro card

The Sansa e-series works with microSD cards. Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card. While it will fit into the slot, it won't work. You need to use microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

if the micro sd is HC the sansa will not read it because it does not have the right firmware and connection to read an 8 GIG if you want that get a sansa view

Micro SDHC use

Yes you can use them. Version 2 players support all size SDHC cards. However version 1 players can only accept 2 gig regular micro SD cards, which can also be used in version 2 players.
HC means High Capacity.

4GB micro sd card.

According to what I've read, you can double the original memory, but no more than that, so the max you can have on a Sansa e250 would be 4 GB (2GB internal memory and 2GB external memory). I also read that the micro SD cards holds
music only-no video.

When I was looking at this product, I contacted the manufacturer and they made it clear the unit worked best with a 512 mb or smaller card. The problem is not with Sandisk or the SD manufacturer, it is with the HA90.
