Question about Computer Monitors
What kind of monitor is it? What kind of sound is it?
Many companies will let you access and print out their manuals for free online if you input your model and make on their website. Search under "manuals".
Also, the HP w22 LCD I have has internal speakers whose settings and volume levels are controlled through the buttons on the front bottom of the monitor. The monitor has a 'PC Audio In' jack on the back side, which is used to input the digital signal from the back 'audio output' jack of the computer desktop. This HAS to be plugged in with a specific audio cable to power (transmit the digital signal to) the internal speakers.
Check your settings for your external speakers by clicking on 'control panel', then 'hardware', then 'speakers' (IF your computer has located them, meaning that they're plugged in with their driver downloaded). You should be able to configure the speakers and test them for sound.
Windows may have a 'volume mixer' on your taskbar that controls the levels of your Windows application sounds, your device (speaker) sounds, and the Media Player(s).
