There can be many ways to Unlock your phone. As far as i know unlocking by codes is the simple and safe way.You will need the unique MEP Code for your Blackberry and to get it you can use a website with service for Blackberry unlocking .so you can use a website to Unlock your Blackberry bold 9000 online instantly - OR local mobile shop .they are mostly using cables to unlock it and the price is higher then on unlocking websites but the result is the same: SIM free Blackberry.

There are lot of ways in unlocking your cell phones.
Remember, for all phones there are limited number of attempts for entering unlockcode. Exceeding the limits may of course result in hard locking of the cell phone. Beware of the fact that you will come across free codes(fakes most) in the web. But yes you will find real ones too. However pay some $ n get the real codes. Dont tak, risk. I suggest you to go to unlockgenie.com (http://unlockgenie.com/) I got the code for my BlackBerry Bold 9000 from this site it worked.
This is the website link for the online instructions for remote unlocking of BlackBerry Bold 9000.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
