CHANNEL ERASED 1988 SONY TRINITRON KV-270S21. CHANNEL 3 ERASED. HOW CAN A CHANNEL BE ADDED BACK. THE REMOTE IS LOST AS IT IS CONTROLED BY THE CABLE REMOTE. HOW CAN A CHANNEL BE ADDED WITHOUT REMOTE FROM CONTROLS ON FRONT OF TV.

There are channel select buttons on the front of your tv push those to recieve local stations (if you are watching cable programming look for the cable box remote)

plug it directly into the wall....not into the cable box

Go into the setting menu on the tv and go to channel setup,then select add channel.

the great thing about sony is you dont need the remote to do menu functions. there is a flip down panel in the front that has the menu, cursers, and select buttons. just select the tab you need in the menu (channels) select the type of input (cable :on/off) then auto program. be sure to have the VCR off so not to program the channel 3 only.

I have KV-X2982U, With the television on 4, Grip the top side of remote control RM-833 and reverse it, putting it back in the holder. Press Menu on the remote. Several options appear. Press the white button "Preset". You can then manually tune in the setting to channel 4 by pressing the green button, or alternatively you could tune in all channels automatically by pressing red. You may get a better signal on the other channels this way. Good Luck.

check the video cable first / next try using a s-video or hdmi cable some dvd players you have to select the way the picture is sent from the dvd player

Press (on your regular remote for your satellite) the t.v. button, then press info, this worked for me and I tried everything. another viewer posted this solution and it worked great! this is not the original remote, it is the satellite remote.
