Question about Gateway Computers & Internet
To run a CD, simply put it in the CD drive - it should run automatically (this feature is called AutoPlay and works with most modern CDs). If for any reason it doesn't automatically run, go to My Computer (either through the Start Menu or through a desktop shortcut if you have one) and double-click on the CD drive (it should have a picture of a CD and/or a description of the CD that you've put in).
Copying the CD is not as straight-forward, especially since every model and every version of Vista come with different software and features. Once you've put the original CD in one drive and the blank disc in another, the first thing I would try is going to My Computer (as above) and right-clicking on the CD drive - this will bring up a menu of options, one of which should be "Copy CD using [program name]" (this should not be confused with "Copy," a different command altogether).
If there is no "Copy CD" option, then I recommend going to the Start Menu -> Programs; then look for the name of a standard CD-burning program - you should have either Roxio or Nero. Open that program, then select the option that allows you to copy a disc.
If that doesn't work, or if neither of these programs is present, then you can simply open Windows Media Player (now also called Window Media Center) and use the "Burn a CD" feature. Choose the contents of the original disc to be the contents of the new CD - in effect you'll be copying the CD.
I hope this helps - please let me know if I can be of any further assistance!
