Clean condenser coil. If the outdoor coil is dirty it will not reject its heat into the atmosphere and can cause a high temp/pressure situation. I've had them interviews too.

Our Rheem Classic Air Conditioner Unit keeps tripping the reset button or something and we have to run out and trip it. Well today it won't turn back on.


What's probably happened is that your outdoor unit has overheated due to a high pressure/high temp situation. The reset button at the base of the o.d. unit is a HIGH PRESSURE RESET. This safety is factory installed to prevent the unit from operating under an excessive(per design) pressure.
•The o.d. coil needs to be cleaned
•The o.d. fan motor needs to be replaced
•The run capacitor(s) at the o.d. unit need to be replaced
•There is a restriction in the refrigerant cycle
Its also possible that a component has faulted, along with a high pressure issue. 1 problem can cause another. The reset opening sometimes let's us know something is wrong and its time to repair the problem before it gets worse. Its hard to say what to do now. If it was still opening the pressure switch you could try washing the o.d. coil. Call a tech!

Carrier puron 38txa a/c compressor will not turn on


Make sure there is power at the compressor, but first at the contactor (being supplied to contactor ). Power being supplied to contacter (line voltage) ?
Yes, then close contactor manually and if it works then check for 24 volts at the contactor coil. Find 24 volts, then you need a contactor.
No supply (line voltage), then check breaker
Breaker on, then check run capacitor and if good check high and low pressure protection.High pressure = trips on high head pressure (manual reset) then clean condenser coil.
Low pressure trips on low charge (auto reset on restored charge)

Carrier ac keeps turning on and off


what is the temp. outside ? If it is doing it when its hot out clean the coil outside could be tripping on high head pressure. If its not make sure the inside fan blower is turning.If its not it could be tripping on low head pressure. If it only runs a short time you probably have a low charge.and it is causing it to short cycle.

E3 Outdoor activation of high pressure switch

Condenser coil is dust blocked.-Clean it. Rpm of fan motor is less-Replace capacitor. If over charged gas- release some gas. Check for continuity for high pressure switch, if no continuity, replace high pressure switch.

Our Fujitsu inverter although on 18 degrees and "Cooling" on high is not cooling at all. Just feels like a fan on high


First advise not to keep in 18 degree temp.(Please ask me why in separate question)
You will get better cooling in 23 degree itself. There are many reasons for not getting cold.
1. Dirty filter and coil. Clean it. 2. Check compressor is working. 3.If working, check for gas pressure. 4. If gas pressure is good, check out door fan motor working well. 5. And also clean your condenser coil.

The EGR vale is new, it it is rough idoling or driving..i drive about 104 miles a day..it use about 1/4 tank gas per trip. (new plugs) they are fowled out .. i pulled the wires one ata time no change in...


SCAN IT TO SEE IF YOU HAVE MAP SENSOR WORKING.ALSO CHECK VACUUM LINES GOING TO MAP SENSOR MAKE SURE ITS NOT. BROKE OR CRACK.CHECK COILS RESISTANCE.BAD COILS CAUSE ROUGH IDLING.SCAN MAKE SURE COOLANT SENSOR ISNT OPEN.REMOVE EGR VALVE. CLEAN OUT CARBON IN THE INTAKE PORT.USING A PIECE OF CLOTHES RACK.CLEAN UP DEBRIS.ALSO CHECK FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR.CHECK VACUUM LINE TO FUEL PRESSURE MAKE SURE ITS NOT FULL OF GAS.AND DONT HAVE CRACKS IN IT OR BROKE.
