I have a Kenmore 80 series washer, model number 110.26812690. It has just started leaking/dripping from where the water fills up the drum or tub, after the load is finished. It just continues dripping into the drum. What do I need to fix this?

Soundsas if you have a faulty, inlet water valve. your model is notshowing up on my part look ups, but definatly replace the valve( your water hoses are connected to it. in mean time make sure to turn off water inbetween loads

definelty an easy repair, the valve is only held in by a screw or 2, and the hoses themselves, problaby about $50 for a replacement, as far as acccessit you can find a video on you tube, simply search kenmore washerm youll see howto remove hte cabinet ,not a problem at all

My washer sometimes ends up with a couple inches of water in the tub a day after last used. Also, at times water leaks on the floor. Neither of these things happen consistently.

It is likely that the fill valve located inside the rear panel is leaking, especially if you leave the supply lines turned on all the time. One annoying fix is to turn off the water supply after each laundry session but than you have to remember to turn the water on again next time

Leaking water

Does not sound like a bearing problem. Check to see if water is overflowing the top of the tub during spin cycle (due to spin action) and running down the side of the tub.  Water rising up the side of the tub during spin cycle could also be squirting up through bleach dispenser opening and running down side of tub.

Open the washer and make sure the tube is not sitting forward .If not then you will have to lift the top of washer up and cheak for leaking hose. Also when washer is filling look with flashlight behind it to see if there is a leak there.

Maytag atlantas top loader water keeps dripping from top of drum

Your water inlet valve is probably leaking by. If the water pressure is too, or if there is sediment build inside the valve, sometimes the solenoids will not close properly. Try cleaning the valve to see if this helps. If not, I would recommend replacing it. Depending on which valve you have, repairclinic.com has two listed for this model washer for $20 to $30. Let me know if this helps, or if you need further assistance.
