Hi, Our Sony Bravia TV model number KDF E50A11E is not working. There is a red blinking light flashes three times and then goes green and then red blinking again after about 3 seconds. Is this a bulb...

On that particular model I believe there is both a lamp indicator light and then the power indicator light. If it is lamp related the lamp indicator light (LED that looks like a sun in a cup...) would be on.

If the power indicator light is flashing red to green, that is a self diagnostic code, and you will have to contact an authorized Sony repair fascility for them to translate the problem. The error codes are not listed in the user manual, since most are not user serviceable.

My sony kdf-e42a10 lcd projection tv has good sound but for some reason the picture has gotten real dark, you can still see it barely, what could be causing this

Cause of darker picture is lamp that has reached at end of its working life span and need to be replaced for brighter picture in tv.
Replace lamp in tv to get problem solved.

After installing the XL-2400 Lamp unit. This is the blub and housing. I turned the TV on and after a few moments the tv turned off and on the front of the tv where the power light is it is flashing red.

Please make sure lamp cover is reinstalled securely after replacement of lamp in TV.
If lamp cover is not fixed properly, TV wont power up and red light will start blinking.

You may want to have the optical block checked out. Usually when you see spots or blotches of color it's due to a malfunction of the Opt. Block assembly.
