Question about IBM ThinkPad R40 2722 Notebook
After I press the power botton of my IBM-R40, all the LED displays blinks as normal. suddenly the HD lamp turns OFF and nothing more (black-out). Tried to remove Hard disk and checked it on another computer. Did not find any errors on it. Intermitently it displays the the blue screen, but cannot boot-up the system. booting from CD is not posible. what to do? Help pls.
If I understand you correctly you turned off your laptop and since then have not been about to boot up normally, occasionally getting a blue screen. Typically the blue screen also has some type of error message, can you tell us what that is? You indicate that booting from the CD drive is not possible, is that because you don?t have a working drive? In any case this sounds like a problem with system files or possible a device driver and a CD drive is almost certainly going to be necessary. Let us know the answers to this questions and any other pertinent history relating to this issue and we?ll see if we can help.
