hey , I jsut got a hp w1907 and it was working until tried to play a game and the screen went blank , I turned it on and off and on aand off and left it ofr a while off than it worker but when ever I finished the game (combat arms) I had to do it again and I think I found the solution to all of the guys who have problems with monitors going blank , tip:set up the resolution lower much lower and it probably will work

This sites horrible. Look around, everyones having this problem with this monitor. Do some research about it b4 you answer. Simple answer... hardware problem. They all ****.
Not a complete solution but it will keep your monitor from auto adjusting its resolution which is the cause of it turning black to begin with.

Sounds like a goofy monitor.... When you enter into a game it can change the resolution to optimize Graphics Quality and it may take a minute to render if you are on a lower end PC or Graphics Card. Another possibility is a capacitor issue, but it is very unlikely... Back light issues are common on these monitors I have heard.
