Farenheit DVD34 Car DVD Player parental control

How do I unlock the parental control when I didn't put a password in to lock it? I inserted a DVD played it, and then the next time I went to use the player it stated that I needed a password when noone had used it since the previous DVD. Is there a way to clear or override it? I have tried removing power to it and hitting the reset button both prior to removing power and after removing power. Any solutions out there other than throwing this unit out the window?

Does anyone know the password to unlock parental lock on a Copy DVD R1300? Tia!

The parental lock is not on the DVD, it is on the player itself. Only mummy and daddy can turn it off. The player reads the parental code on the DVD and the DVD Player locks access.

I inserted a DVD and the words parental control limit comes up on the screen. It's rated R but I have received many dvds from Netflix rated R which played with no problem. There is a bar with a picture...

If you are able to, go into the setup menu, select 'parental control', check the rating (8 is restricted - 1 is no restriction), and 'unlock' (if you have not set a password) then exit the setup. This should solve the issue for all future discs (parental lock is a pointless feature in DVD players, as often, owners set passwords, only to forget them later, so they cannot undo this function).

* This is for a Zenith XVB442 DVD/VCR combo, but essentially a similar setup *

If you forget your 4-digit password
If you forget your password, to clear the current password
follow the procedure below.
1 Press SETUP to display the setup menu.
2 Enter the 6-digit number 210499 and then press
ENTER.
The 4-digit password is cleared.
3 Enter a new password then OK.

I do not recommend setting parental lock passwords in DVD players, but you may not need to do this, so the above is a 'just in case'.

There was a parental lock code on our ps2 when we got it, is there a override code I can use to unlock it? I bought it at a yard sale last summer and they never mentioned that they put a lock on the DVD......

Try these directions, they *should* work.

1. Insert a DVD Movie into the PlayStation®2.
2. You should receive a message informing you that the Parental Level has been set, and asking if you?"d like to allow the disc to play. Highlight "Yes" and then press the X button.
3. A new window will appear asking you to temporarily change the Parental Control to a different level. Again, highlight "Yes", and then press the X button.
4. Another window will appear asking you to enter your Password. Above that window are numbers (0-9).
5. Do not enter your password, but instead, press the select button on your Controller. This will change the text in the window from "Enter Password" to "Delete Password".
6. Using the numbers above the window, input 7444. If successful, you will receive a message stating "Deletion Complete".
7. Press Select. You will now be asked to register a new password. Please select a four-digit code of your choosing.
8. You will be asked to confirm your password selection by inputting the same code once again. If successful, you will receive a message stating "Registration Confirmed".
9. Now you need to turn off the password altogether. The movie should of started playing by now. Press select and chose Setup. Go to the parental control "tab" and set the level to "off".
10. Now you should be able to watch any movie

I have a Toshiba SD-K730 DVD Player I am trying to set the Parental Lock limit what type of movies are viewed. Can you help?

Parental control setting

Some discs are specified not suitable for children. Such

discs can be limited not to play back with the unit.

1) Press C or D to select "Parental", then press B

or A until the level you require appears.

Level Off: The parental control setting does not

function.

Level 8: All DVD software can be played back.

Level 1: DVD software for adults cannot be

played back.

Select from the level 1 to level 8. The limitation will

be more severe as the level number is lower.

2) Press C or D to select "Password".

Press Number buttons (0-9) to input a 4-digit

password. Be sure to remember this number!

• If you input a wrong number, press CLEAR.

3) Press ENTER to store the password.

Note: Now the rating is locked and the setting cannot

be changed unless you enter the correct pass

word.

4) Press OPEN/CLOSE to activate Parental control

setting. (See "Temporary disabling of rating level by

DVD disc" on page 36.)

Notes:

• Depending on the discs, the unit cannot limit playback.

• Some discs may not be encoded with specific rating

level information though its disc jacket says "adult." For
those discs, the age restriction will not work.

To change the parental level

1) Press C or D to select "Password".

2) Press Number buttons (0-9) to enter the password

you have stored.

3) Press ENTER.

• The rating is now unlocked.

4) Press C or D to select "Parental", then press B

or A to change the parental level.

5) Press C or D to select "Password", then press

Number buttons (0-9) to enter the password.

Note: You can change the password if you want.

6) Press ENTER.
Now the parental level is changed and locked.

If you forget the password...

1. Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the disc tray.

2. Remove the disc.

3. Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the disc tray.
"No Disc" appears on the screen.

4. While holding STOP down on the front panel,

press 7 on the remote control. "PASSWORD

CLEAR" appears on the screen.
5. Enter a new password again.

hope this helps

Dvd loading but will not play

When you mean that the DVD is loading , does it mean that the file is detected and reading . If so please check if the format is recognised by the player. if not try another DVD.
Next if this an old set try to use a cleaner and clean the head.
If this does not clear the fault you will have to open the set and check for the RF from the head , digital processing and drive output. hope this helps, Good day

Went to play dvd and i have to do a password how do i change it

You have parental lock, this can be quite bothersome with trying to find the right code. Here is the procedure to reset the parental lock code: 1. Bring up a screen where the unit asks you to enter in the parental code. You can either insert a restricted disc, or enter the DVD setup menu and go to "parental control" under custom setup. 2. When the screen asks for the code, press the SELECT button, then enter in the code "7444". 3. The level adjustment under Parental Control dictates the strictness of the player. The lower the value, the more strict it will be. Either increase the value to lower the restriction, or disable the lock entirely by setting it to "off". 4. Once you have made your adjustments, be sure that the DVD tray is empty, and press the RESET button on the front of the Playstation 2. It is imperative the tray is clear of any DVD or game for the unit to save your settings.

Parental password control inadvertently activated.

Called Zenith. They said: turn on the DVD player. Hit "set-up". Scroll down to the "lock" icon. Scroll over to "Rating". Scroll over to unlock. Enter 0000. Click on Ok. Enter 0000 again, click Ok again. Menu should read unlock. Voila!
