Kodak dx7630 Dark Photos

Hello, I have a Kodak DX7630 Camera. I have had this camera for several yrs now. (I am thinking 2003) I loved this camera, it was everything I needed and worked perfect for all this time. However, Now it takes Dark photo's. I can't figure out why. I have gone in to settings and tried changing thing's around etc.. When I transfer the photo's to my computer they are dark also. Could you tell me why this would happen, and if it's worth sending in for repair or buying a new one? I miss this camera!

First of all, this is not a solution. i think your camera's problem almost same with mine. i think your inner lens of your camera isn't totally opened, and it is same with my camera, which is cannot opened at all, maybe you dropped it or exposed it to water. if you go to kodak web site they suggest that you must take it back to the factory.

Battery lock broken, needs replaced camera will not turn on with a fully charged battery

I had the same problem and was able to find a replacement lock and spring on e-bay from US Camera - P/N 370388337496). They may have none left. Not sure.

I have no instructions on how to install the replacement, but don't think it should be that hard (haven't installed mine yet). It is called a Kodak DX7630 Battery Latch and Spring Assembly.

You can also contact United Camera Customer Service (1-630-595-2525) and talk with them. They are the company that Kodak will send you to for repairs to your DX7630.

The part number From Kodak PartsDepartment (1-800-431-7278 (opt #2) is: F6170 for the latch. The did not have any springs on hand.
