I was working out with my Sansa e260 mp3 player, when it just turned off. I charged the battery last night, so it can't be that. When I plugged it into my computer, nothing happened. Do you know what's going on?

I was listening to my mp3 player while it was charging. Then i tried to change the song, and it froze for about 10 seconds, and cut off. It doesn't do anything when i plug it in to my computer now, and I've tried pressing every button, even holding the power button down, but it doesn't do anything.

There could be a slight problem of it being frozen so try holding down the off button for 10 or 20 seconds and hopefully it will turn off or on that could be the problem or maybe not.

There is a trick to charging the battery in these small mp3 players. It wont charge if it is turned on, and it won't charges if it's turned off. Here what to do...
1. plug the payer into your USB port. or wall charger
2. switch thje palyer on using the mechanical switch (on the side)
3. turn it off by either holding down the play button, or selecting "System" from the menu
4. The screen will go black and the battery will begin charging.

that happens to me too. i think the problem is that your computer can't like, sense that it's plugged in, so your battery's dying out, and the computer wont charge it

My sansa e260 wont turn on or charge

I had the same problem. Place the device into hold and press the menu and mic buttons at the same time. The first time I tried it, I had no response and then I pressed the same buttons again and my e260 came back to life.
After getting my e260 to come on, I updated the firmware and everything has been working.

Blue lines

Try to reset it with a needle at the a hole on the side where it says reset button (it says in the back next to the hole). I hope that can take of the problem.

Sandisk Sansa e260

u have to wait till the screen will be black. I had the same problem with my sansa. it can lasts 1 or 2 days. after screen is black and then do following: 2. change lock switch to orange position 3. Press and hold rec button (at left side) 4. while pressing the rec button, turn the player on 5. it will appear the boot menu. connect the USB cable and try to continue the firmware 6. if it doesn't work, do a firmware downgrade. download this file: http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe 7. execute the application while in boot mode good luck darek

My Sansa E260's screen is white and it won't turn off

After leaving it on all night and running the battery down I plugged it back in, it charged and everything is working fine. The morale of this story is, don't unplug it from the computer while it is in use.
