Question about Furuno GP32 GPS Receiver
I am having a problem connecting the gps to laptop I have connect it through a usb to nine pin serial plug lead and hav einstalled the drivers .
But the signal dosnt come through on the chart program but the program starts kumping the cuser jumps all over the place it may need some setting changed .
Any help would be very much appreciated.
You need to connect the gps after your laptop is going this should stop it thinking that the gps is a mouse

Always turn on the laptop first then after a couple of minutes the gps.

This is a problem in Windows where NMEA data is interpreted by the computer as serial mouse inputs. There are various fixes. If you type Windows mininsterpret NMEA serial mouse into Google you will find lots of info.
