LG Chocolate 3 won't read my Micro SD card full of MP3s!
I have used the SD micro card before to transfer mp3 songs and podcasts
from my Macbook to my LG Chocolate 3 phone. But now it doesn't work: I
took off old podcasts I was done listening to by deleting them from the
SD card when it was in the USB adapter inserted into my
Macbook port, and then I added new songs and podcasts to the card. But
when I put the card into the phone, suddenly the phone said I had NO
songs and NO podcasts. Every category shows up as empty -- under
"songs", "genres", "artists", etc., it just says "Add Songs to Play
Music", as if there's nothing there at all. ARGH. My computer says that
there's tons of stuff on the card, but none of it shows up on the phone
now. What do I do????
Re: LG Chocolate 3 won't read my Micro SD card full of...
Ok, I figured it out. Well, ok, maybe I didn't figure it out, but I did solve the problem -- by making sure everything on the SD card was backed up, and then reformatting it. Then I put all my MP3's back into the "my_music" folder on the card, and it all showed up on the phone -- finally!
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

It is possible another way...Best buy cells micro sd memory cards costing about $12 for a 2 MB. It comes with an apapter to put into your memory card slot into your computer. So you put little memory card into the apapter into the computer card slot. Drap and drop songs on the card and woolah. Put the little card in to the Micro SD slot in your phone....
Go to www.bestbuy.com and search micro sd cards.
kk to add music make sure you syn the phone and the cp do the data and all then put .mp3 on all the media files and see if it works. Then if that doesnt go to computor format the card and then put it in the phone. Otherwise you need new stuff.
I had the same problem and found the solution on the following site! http://www.lg-vu.com/index.php?topic=2660.0 Reading thru the blog you will find the best solution is to download the MP3 tag which there is a link for and untag the retag your MP3's and they will work. So easy but up to 6 hours or more to locate.
You must Have All Files In the my_music directory with NO sub directories. And as said before YOU HAVE 32 Characters. Most of your Mp3s will have a tag on it that will tell you (the phone) all the info you will ever need to know about a song. Some day lyrics.
I have found that mine didn't recognize songs if the name of the song was too long. Try going into Windows explorer (with the micro sd card in the computer) and rename at least one of the songs as a test. If that song is recognized by the phone, go back and shorten the names on the rest of the card. Good luck!
