Re: how doyou play the fm tuner

Sorry for posting so late, hopefully you've solved this by now, but here goes.. you hold down the circle button, HOLD it until you see a orange screen that says "music" using the circle button move right once. there should be a screen that says "FM" with a little radio on it. now press the circle button, don't hold it in though. that should bring you to the fm, where you can change the station by scrolling left or right.

How do I record FM radio programs and transfer them to my computer?

unfortunately, the voice recorder works only as voice recorder, it cannot play FM and record it at the same time. though you can play fm radio from another device and record it using your SanDisk mp3 player.

To transfer your recordings from your mp3 player, connect your device to your PC.

Open "My computer" from your PC and you'll there "your Sansa Player"

Double-click on "your Sansa Player", then open the "Music" folder, then, open "Recordings" folder.

You'll find all your recordings on that folder.

I have the 2 GB flash MP3 player with FM tuner. I

Last night I replaced my battery and my unit would not go any further than the Pearl logo. So this morning I downloaded the firmware upgrade from, and followed all the troubleshooting instructions that popup when you start the program:

start the program,
remove the battery,
hold the play button while plugging into usb,
release the play button the the term "initalizing" replaces "searching",
click the start button to replace the firmware.

Note: when I tried this last week to fix the aac error message, it did not fix the problem with some music files. After following these steps today, plus making sure the format data box was selected, I can now play the troublemaking files without errors.

FM Radio

iPods do not come with FM tuners. FM tuners can be bought and added on as an extra feature, but this is a third party device, not an iPod device.

Generally, when you connect the third party FM tuner to the iPod, the iPod will recognize it and you can use the 3rd party FM tuner to change stations.

If you do not have the FM tuner to connect to the iPod, the individual that sold you the iPod did not include the FM tuner to connect to the the iPod. In that case, the Menu will still list the FM tuner, but there is no device to connect to the iPod.

No FM Tuner Option

The FM radio feature did not come standard on all HDD1600 models - mostly they were on the European instead of the US variants - unfortunately, they did not consider this when they printed the manuals in Europe

Car kit/ FM tuner for playback?

well, depending where you are, there are stores that sell fm tuners for about 30 $. These fm tuners are universal. They just plug in the earphone jack and you tune to 88.1 mhz. It works with batteries or even the ones made for cars, you plug it in the cigarette jack. So go see at radio shack or best buy. They have for sure, im in canada and well they have like 4 diferrent models ! Be sure to ask someone there, its easier that way !
