Make sure the front of the tank is latched. This is a common problem as one side needs to be latched before the other.

Check that the side of the tank with 2 places to latch on is actually latched and then latch the other side.

No suction

I used a new Hoover Spin ScrubSteam Vac the first time and it worked great. The next day it would not such up the water and sounded like it was sucking air. I took off the lid on the recovery tank and when carefully inspecting the gaskets saw a every so small slilt in the small gasket that surrounds the intake duct. I put some silicone glue on it to close and seal it. This morning I tried sucking up water on a tile floor and it worked OK! I have not tried it again on carpets but am keeping my fingers crossed.

Shop vac sucks water for a few seconds then it spits it back out

Don't use the paper filter for sucking water. It can ruin it. It will still be usable if you just set it out to dry but there is no reason to use it for water in my experience. I have a sears shop vac and it will fill up more than half full without ejecting the water.

Sounds like you have a broken water line, or it just came off. You would have to remove the top housing to get to the water lines. Or at the bottom of where the solution tank sits on, is the reservior asm. there are lines going there also. Bottom of the tank, the valve is stuck open. The trigger on the handle is stuck pushing down on the reservior asm.

Spin vacum won't suck up water

This happens when the filter on the inside of the lid for the dirty water tank is pushed all of the way up. You need to leave a 1/4 in. gap from the top to the top of the filter. Or the lid is not locked down all the way.

Hi There, The machine does not actually suck the suds up. Basically the machine lays the foam down which then crystalises and absorbs the dirt in the process. Once this has had around - 4-5 hours to dry then you vacuum up as normal taking the crystalised dirt away. You should really use the Genuine Kirby product as it's very good but you can also you any other DRY FOAM shampoo. Hope this helps Chris www.elidistribution.co.uk

Hose Attachment

On the clean / dirty water tank there is a red lint lint filter, this is on the upper part of the tank,
If this is blocked it reduces the suction ,this must be free from debris,
If you are using the turbo brush ,
there is a sliding switch on the brush, This diverts the suction from the brush to the nozzle of the attachment ,
You should see the dirty water traveling up the hose ,
You should only use bissells own cleaning solution as using another product would null your guarantee
