Question about HP 49g+ Calculator
Attempitng to connect calculator to computer. Computer will not see calculator. Using software from HP that came with calculator . Computer software is Windows XP. When attempting to connect; an error comes up; (no device detected. Check the cable connection and the calculator). Replaced cable with new cable. Went through trouble shooting process from the software. Using keys: (App),(i/o functions),(transfer),change type to (xmodem). Tried (xsen),tried (xserv),tried (start server). No results.
I have a HP48G. I connect thru HyperTerm. I bought the SIO cable for the Caclulator, and you have to set the I/O on the calculator. For files transfer I use Kermit. Still using HyperTerm on the Computer.
Works for me.
You have a HP49G, I don't know if it is SIO or USB, I don't see USB support on HyperTerm.
How's the programming going on that? I call it Object Programming.

Try opening the software on your PC. Set the connection to USB and connect your calc. On the calc press the right shift key followed by the right arrow key.....software should now recognize the calc.
