I realise this is two years old, but I just got this TV and my remote (also RD111OE) has no HOLD button (there is a MODE button, would that be the same?) I would love to get hold of a manual!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

The problem of my guestlink tv is that when tune in to a channel it goes off after some minutes and how to operate the remote control of the model NX63L1.

You can Google the model number with "manual" to try to locate the owner manual---as far as other problem does a DVD etc do the same thing when connected to a rear audio/video input? It will narrow things down and offer possible choices.

How to tune an NEC TV Model Number N-3457 with no remote

If there is no "tuning" button next to the channel up/down and volume keys, then you can't.
I suggest you purchase a "one for all" remote control from a reputable store and if it works, great, but you will need one that is comprehensive.
Hope this helps.

We are trying to repair a NEC px-42vm5a LCD tv for a not for profit. it has power but we cannot get the control panel to respond to different inputs, and we do not have the remote, we cannot get the...

Your best bet is to find a used remote for the exact model at a local thrift store.
You can also get a universal remote and control the tv.
You can get a replacement remote online at
http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&uid=0&m=NEC+px-42vm5a&uuid=12478606437130
for about $50.
Since you are a not for profit, I would ask a local TV repair ship if they can help you out with a loaner remote. They may even volunteer some trouble shooting help. They are ususually willing to help.

Lost remote need code for universal remote control.

Setting Up Your NEC TVrembar.gif
  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. On your Tune In remote, press TV and release.
  3. Press and hold Set until the green light on Tune In blinks once, pauses and then blinks twice. Now release the Set key.
  4. Enter the first three-digit TV code for your NEC from the list which follows:
    030, 056, 019
These codes are listed in order of popularity, and the green light will blink twice if you perform this procedure correctly.
  5. Aim Tune In at your TV and press Power. Your TV should turn off. If it does not, repeat steps 2-5, trying each code listed in step 4 until you find the one that operates your TV.
Now Test Your TVWhy test? Many times more than one code appears to work. Testing is desirable to be sure you have the correct code for your TV or the other devices you are setting up.
  1. Press the Power key to turn on the TV, then press mute, channel scan ("CH") and volume ("VOL") keys. Tune channels 7 and 11 by entering the number followed by the Enter key.
  2. If your TV does not pass the test, return to Step 2 at the top of this page. Enter the next three-digit code and repeat the process.

Press and hold for a few Seconds the 2nd Button from the left on the front of the TV. The auto tune menu will appear on the bottom right of the screen. Wait until it disappears and then check the channels by using the buttons on the remote.
