No a refridgerator does not have a fuse, it could be that your thermosta has gone, the wires from the back of the fridge come through the back to the thermostat, the lights work on a different poer supply ie they are not connected to the thermostat, try take the power directly from your outlet to the compressor at the bottom of the fridge, the wires work as follows, you have 3 a earth a live and a neutral, the live goes up to the thermostat and light, but there are 2 lines, 1 for the light 1 for the thermostat, then the thermostat has a line which goes down to the compressor and 1 to the defroster, the line to the compressor then turns it on and off when the unit reaches the tempreture desired, so it is most likely a split in the wire or your thermostat has gone. however i would not suggest testing anything if you are not expirienced in working with electrical systems, however should you wish to connect the live wire straight to the compressor to see if it is the thermostat or a split in the wire, always remember to turn the power off and unplug the unit. good luck and i hope this helps

Fridge stopped working light on motor not running

Robert,
Need more info. I am unaware of a "light on the motor". There are three motors normally in a refrigeration system. The inside Evaporator fan motor that circulates air across the evaporator coil inside the box, the Condenser fan motor near the compressor that cools the freon after compression, and the compressor itself. Normally none of these have a light. If you are referring to the light inside the box that turns on with opening the door AND the frig is not cooling, we must go to the very start. 1. Verify power at outlet.
2. Do you see (or inside the box- hear) the two fans running. 3. Is the compressor smoothly vibrating?

2001 Honda Passport/Isuzu Rodeo a/c not getting cold, fan in grill not turning, there is plenty of freon and inside controls/fan working fine. Is there a fuse for the other fan?

Yes there is a fuse for the other fan, generally inside the engine bay as apposed to inside the vehicle. I would think it is more likely to be the clutch on your compressor unit that is not engaging when you press the AC button. In this case the fuse on the AC button is responsible and this is also found inside the engine bay. Check either of these fuses and you should get the AC working. If not then there may be insufficient pressure in your AC system or your compressor unit needs changing out.

Why wont my A/C Compressor and High Coolant Fans Engage?

Check for broken wiring, blown fuses, possible bad relays, and look at the pressure switch. Some systems have a high pressure switch (some have a low pressure also) that prevent the compressor from running. If it is faulty or damaged, it could be preventing the compressor from running. Wire damage could be possible with front end damage.

Ac fuse blowing, in 1996 isuzu rodeo

Disconnect wire to Air Conditioning Compressor and connect normal test light to wire, from engine harness(body)side. Fit new fuse and try air cond controls and switch, test light should light up and hopefully fuse wont blow indicating short in compressor clutch windings(replace compressor). If fuse blows while doing this test compressor might be ok and fault short some where else, fan speed resistor block, fan or control/switches, wiring.

2000 grand caravan 3.8 Condenser fans not comming on with a/c ...fans do cycle with engine temp compressor is engauging and a/c is trying to work but gets hot fast with no ..... fan working

Check under the hood in the fuse/relay panel. Lift the cover and look inside the cover for the correct location for the fuse/relay controlling the cooling fans. Either the fuse will be blown or the relay is bad. Use a test light to check the fuse for power on both sides,if you have power on the fuse then the relay has gone bad. Hope this will help you.

1998 BMW COMPRESSOR OR AUXILIARY FAN DO NOT RUN

hello, check the fuse, inside the driving compartment, also their is fuses under the hood, on the drivers side, these cars has a lot of relays, their should be relays for compressor, and auxiliary fan, they could be on the same fuse or relay, they would be a pretty big fusefor both, i believe the fuses for comp, fans are red, should be 30 amp fuses.

the fan relay may have went bad...if the fan doesnt come on the compressor will shut down because of excessive pressure...has he used a test light to check all the fuses under the hood and inside... pay particular attention to fuse 10 in the inside fuse box...if there is no power at all to that fuse it may be in the ignition switch
